ARTICLE: PC Gaming Show 2020 Recap

Persona 4 Golden PC port, let’s head out boys.

While we may not have E3 this year, and the only word on next year’s being that they’re working on a reimagined event, that doesn’t mean that the regular shows won’t go on. This year the PC Gaming Show included skits featuring a robot, interviews after the studio’s game was shown, and a couple of games that are new EGS Exclusives. To be honest, this show could have been better without the skits as it seemed rushed at times (in terms of actually showing off games) as some games didn’t have any breathing room like some were cut off way to soon to show the release/if they had a beta signup open and Gloomwood’s trailer was completely forgotten about and shown after the credits. Anyway, here are all the games featured so you won’t have to watch:

  • Valheim is a viking survival and exploration game set in a fantasy world inspired by norse mythology and viking culture. There is no release window as of yet, but you can sign up for the beta now.
  • Ooblets now has a release window of sometime in the Summer where it’ll be releasing in Early Access. This is an EGS Exclusive.
  • Torchlight 3 has now released as an Early Access title on Steam. Max Schaefer joined in for an interview to talk about how it ties into the other games, how it compares to them, the classes, how forts are integrated (you’ll run into other player’s forts or even your own when enter Passages and be able to use their recipes/enchanting table), and how the pet system was expanded.
  • Elite Dangerous: Odyssey is a space simulation MMO that is set into a one-to-one creation of our own Milky Way where players can forge their own path. This DLC is set to arrive early 2021 on Steam, Xbox One, and PS4. Piers Jackson also joined for an interview on what to expect when the game drops (like being able to explore planets and interact with the environment).
  • Persona 4 Golden PC port is on Steam. That’s it. I highly recommend picking this one up if you haven’t already by the time this goes up. Now you don’t need to buy a PSVita to play this one.
