Although intended to be a party game, there’s not much that would maintain a group’s interest for very long. It’s possible to play alone against the AI, but there is even less reason to play this game by yourself.
This arcade game fails because although it has simple gameplay, it’s not been programmed well enough to function properly. For instance, there’s no limit on how many enemies can spawn.
Although Strange Brigade has adequate gameplay, which is improved if you play with others, the developers seemed to focus more on gimmicks and selling DLC than developing a worthwhile campaign.
This run and gun game is surprisingly hard, with most of the difficulty stemming from the bosses and optional challenges, such as a 2 heart run. However, with a shop full of upgrades, there are ways to mitigate the difficulty.
