NEWS: Play NYC 2020 is Live!

A weeklong, free to attend event that you can check out now.

Play NYC 2020 sets out to celebrate the spirit of NYC with games, talks, tournaments, and more for a whole week (August 10 – 16). Not only will people discover participating games they might not have known beforehand, but also tune in to various conversations through their livestreams (you can check out their schedule here). You can even enter in a sweepstakes for a chance to win a prize package worth up to $1,000, but you’ll have to go through Verizon to enter.

Here are the games that are participating (with some offering demos):

  • 8Doors: Arum’s Afterlife Adventure
    A story-driven metroidvania platformer where you play as a brave girl searching for her father’s soul in the afterlife.
  • A Space for the Unbound

    Tap into an epic story of evolution, technology, humanity, and dinosaurs. This is out now in early access as a free to play game.

    As the last line of defense, secure the future by not letting any blocks and bullets from the Chromavaders go past you.

    A point and click game set in a dystopian future set to tackle the themes of tomorrow
  • Ever Forward
    Play as a 12 year old girl lost on the edge of dreams and reality that will need to face challenging puzzles to slowly reveal the secrets buried in her heart. This is set to release August 13.

    Join as a robo-bunny and his companion as they discover the planet’s secrets, recover their memories, and help the Guardians bring the planet back to its former beauty.

    A JRPG that features fast-paced, action-packed cobat system reminiscent of a combination of Lunar and Grandia series.
  • King of the Hat
    A chunky party game where you need to jump on everyones hats to win.
  • Kristala
    Play as a fledgling warrior trying to prove her worth as a wicked sickness stirs.
