Forts

REVIEW: Forts

A fresh take on a classic genre from the early days of PC gaming. Forts involves deep strategy and won’t disappoint RTS enthusiasts looking to try something different.

PREVIEW: Subsiege

Developed by Icebird Studios and Aesir Interactive and published by Headup Games, “Subsiege” aims to be the next big thing in the E-sports and RTS spectrum. The game is a real-time strategy multiplayer only set in post-apocalyptic 2063:

PREVIEW: Northgard

If I had to describe Northgard in a single line, it would be “Age of Empires with Viking clans”. Apart from the visual aesthetic, you will see from the start how much Northgard plays similar to the Age of Empires. Age of Empires being my favourite

PREVIEW: WARTILE

WARTILE is the work of Playwood Project, and it has been in development for a period of three years. Despite only just being released in Steam Early Access, it had a free demo and closed alpha tests before that allowed to shape the development cycle

PREVIEW: TYRAN

A decent 3D hybrid between and RPG and an RTS that has quite a lot of catching up to do, not to mention polish, before it leaves the Early Access stage.

REVIEW: 8-BIT ARMIES

The first title from Petroglyphs’ 8-Bit series and a game from which both players and developer had a lot to learn and adapt to the ever shifting genre of real time strategy.

REVIEW: 8-Bit Hordes

This is the second title (by release date) within Petroglyph’s 8-Bit series and as soon as you start playing it one thing becomes clear: it’s a homage to both classic Command & Conquer as well as Warcraft RTS’ from back in the day when real time
