Although it lacks the depth and malleability to truly make an MMO in your image, it shows plenty of promise in becoming an entertaining and interesting entry in the business simulation genre due to its unique concept.

An entertaining tactical deck-building title, Trials of Fire is the first that I’ve played in the genre that can truly compete with the heavyweight that is Slay the Spire.
A unique mix of ideas from the long line of XCOM games combine with plenty of new innovations for a familiar strategic and tactical experience, though not one too familiar to stand on its own as a fresh and impressive entry into the genre.
