Retro Machina captivates with its charming art style and original gameplay mechanics, however it never seems to use its potential to the fullest, ultimately resulting in a pleasant but only average experience.
This intriguing strategy game inadvertently shoots itself in the foot when it comes to holding players’ attention, as progression comes at the price of anything interesting you obtained.

Although there’s a charming aspect to how the game looks, the UI and controls hamper the experience from the very beginning.
This isn’t the worst game on Steam, yet still manages to be one of my most disliked experiences since I started gaming on this platform.
If you’ve played a lot of free games on sites, the experience here might seem familiar to you. Mr. Shifty is a quality overhead brawler for those who enjoy action-heavy games.
