For the first few hours, it stands out as a novel football game with wacky violence you won’t find in many sports titles. After playing several games though, it loses some of that luster.
The development of this game was quite turbulent, which seems to have carried over to its recently released sequel. The game looks great, but doesn’t offer much in its opening chapter.

Per Aspera is a colony management game where you play the role of a state-of-the-art artificial intelligence charged with terraforming Mars. Ironically, it needs a few patches until fully operational.
For those who have conquered the Dark Souls games, this will feel like a 2D younger sibling that’s not as hard or refined. It’s a pretty good game regardless, and warrants a playthrough.
I am guessing everyone is familiar with Internet Trolls at this point, well now it’s about time to get familiar with SpellForce Trolls!
While it’s obvious the developer spent a lot of time on the art, Just Take Your Left is sparse enough on other details to make me wish I’d gone right.
