NEWS: Humble Bundle Adds Nintendo Titles to the US Shop

Today, Humble Bundle has Nintendo Switch and 3DS titles for sale in US Shop ( hopefully soon for other regions ).  It’s a limited selection at the moment, but there are many popular titles like Mario Odyssey, Breath of the Wild, and Smash Bros. Ultimate in the mix.

Additionally, for Humble Monthly Subscribers only, check your email as you may have a $5 coupon in there for Nintendo titles!

So, what’s the big deal?

There are a handful of things to consider here.  Firstly, DLC and Nintendo Online Service 3-month or 12-month options are available for purchase as well as bundles of games with DLC, although there is no real discount on those bundles from what I see.

Secondly, and perhaps more importantly for those with state sales tax on internet sales, there is no sales tax collected if humble bundle does not operate in your state.  This means, for me anyway, I don’t have to pay 8.25% sales tax on buying the Splatoon 2 Octo Expansion like I do from the Nintendo eshop. That’s a game changer.

Thirdly, for those that have Humble credits you’ve accumulated, those are applicable to the purchase of these games.  Sadly, the 10% monthly subscriber discount does not seem to apply. However, check your email if you are a monthly subscriber and you may have a $5 voucher.

So, for those in a state that charges sales tax and especially those with some humble credits on hand, I have a feeling you may want to check the prices at Humble Bundle first.

About dangerhighdoltage

I wish I was a gravelly-voiced action hero with a scar on every corner of my face from all the ninjas and zombie hordes massacred along my path of destruction. However, I'm rather clumsy. I can walk and chew gum at the same time at least. My favorite genres of late are butterfly field simulators and co-op Plinko carnival games. The occasional puzzle-platforming-RPG-hacknslash-owwwmyheadhurtsfromthisdamnpuzzle-storydriven game is fun too.
